Kratom powder and kratom capsules contain the same thing: single-origin, lab-tested leaf. The difference is entirely one of format — how the leaf is packaged and measured — not of quality or source. This guide covers the practical trade-offs so you can choose the one that fits how you prefer to buy.
They start from the same leaf
The important point first: our capsules are filled with the same milled, single-origin, third-party-tested powder we sell in bags. Nothing is added, and neither format is a lower or higher grade than the other. Choosing between them is a matter of convenience and preference, not compromise.
Powder
Powder is our most flexible format. It is available in every strain we carry and in the widest range of sizes, from small quantities up to a full kilogram, which makes it the most economical option by weight. Because it is loose leaf, powder also lets you keep several strains on hand and is the format used in a build-your-own variety pack. Shop powder →
Capsules
Capsules are pre-filled with a measured amount of powder, which makes them portable, tidy, and consistent from one to the next. There is no bag to reseal and nothing to weigh. Capsules are available in a selected range of strains rather than the full catalogue, and cost slightly more per gram than powder because of the additional filling and materials. Shop capsules →
Which format suits you
Choose powder if you want the widest strain selection, the best value by weight, or the flexibility of loose leaf. Choose capsules if you value pre-measured convenience and portability and are happy to pay a small premium for it. Many customers keep both — powder at home and capsules for travel. Whichever you choose, it is the same lab-tested leaf.
